The story Behind
"Joys come from simple and natural things: mists over meadows, sunlight on leaves, the path of the moon over water." Sigurd F. Olson
The painting focuses on the light as it falls on the marsh. I used acrylic inks, pastels, and acrylic paints to create layers. The painting depicts the colours of the marsh as they change throughout the year. In the summer marsh grass is green. As Fall approaches the colours change to gold and brown. Cattails with their brown tops dot the marsh, giving it yet another beautiful cloak.
