A E Wry Ltd. was formerly J.R Ayer Ltd. Boot and Shoe company in Middle Sackville. Albert Edward Wry was a book keeper in this company. He bought out J.R. Ayer in 1902 and renamed it to A.E. Wry Ltd. Standard Manufacturing Company. They made leather boots and moccasins. The tanning shop where leather was prepared was behind the factory (White Fence #44).
