Anglican Church

St. Paul's Anglican Church was constructed in 1856 in a Gothic revival style.

This was the first church built according to Bishop Medley's plans after the Christ Church Cathedral in Fredericton,

It is situated across from Mount Allison University.

It opened its doors in 1857 and was consecrated in 1858 by Bishop John Medley.

It is designated as a historic place because of its architectural style and its association with Bishop John Medley who was involved in the construction or renovation of over 100 churches.

The church has many distinct features listed on the website Canada's Historic Places. Some of them are:

Three part church building consisting of a tower, nave, and chancel on the eastern end,

Gothic arch on the south entry porch,

Gothic arch louvered vents in the roof section of the tower,

Church is painted in a brown colour since 1856
